Welcome to Barnsley Fencing Club.
We hope to meet you in person soon. Meanwhile, we hope you will find the information about the club on this site both helpful and informative.
First some News:
The University of Liverpool have sent us an invite to submit teams for a Team Epee competition. It would be nice if we found at least one team to attend. See the links page for their website details.
Congratulations to Cara for getting a Bronze in the Yorkshire Region Under 14 Foil at York. We had at least 9 competitors who train regularly at our club attending. Two U14 and the rest seniors. This is twice as many as last year. Final results do not yet seem to be available.
The Beginners Course which started on 7th February is running nicely. It will finish on the 27th March. If you are interested, I'm afraid it is a little too late for this one. We do expect to run another course in the Autumn, so keep an eye on the site for details. You can also contact us for further information, links from the Contacts page and the Beginners Course page.
Check out the new Links page for details of other clubs and events, and let me know if you want to be included.
First Aid: If anyone might be interested in a First Aid course, please contact me. We are just seeing what the interest might be at the moment but it would be good to have several people in the club with a qualification. This might also be of interest to non-club members.
